Founder, President, Chief Executive Officer
Roger Bloss has more than 40 years experience in the hospitality industry. After serving in executive positions with several major hotel franchise companies, Bloss founded Vantage Hospitality Group in 1996 and acquired its first hotel.
Bloss's vision was to develop a national hotel chain based on an innovative membership model. Entering an industry with over 80 well-established legacy hotel brands, he was confident that his approach would reinvent the hospitality branding industry and change the way franshises were operated. And it did.
Vantage's unique Freestyle® brand affiliation model offeres hoteliers A Voice and A Vote® in the brand's direction, low fees, flexible agreements, and reasonable brand standards and PIPs.
Under Bloss' continued leadership, Vantage is now a top 10 global hotel company with over 1,200 properties worldwide and the only hotel company to be ranked eight consecutive years on the prestigious Inc. 500/5000 List of America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies.
Bloss' pioneering vision has earned him many industry accolades, including Lodging magazine's "Innovator of the Year" in 2006 and 2010; HSMAI's "Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing" in 2009; an exclusive video on CNBC.com in which correspondent Darren Rovell stated that Vantage is one of the "fairest franchises" in the industry; and numerous national advertising and marketing awards.
Bernard T. Moyle
Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer
Bernard (Bernie) Moyle serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Vantage Hospitality Group.
Together with CEO and founder, Roger Bloss, Moyle has overseen Americas Best Value Inn's exceptional growth and was instrumental in the launch of Lexington by Vantage and the 2015 acquistion of the America's Best Franchising brands.
In addition to the Vantage hotel brands, Bernie is responsible for the operating effectiveness of the hotel real estate holding and management entity, Cal-Vegas, Ltd., and its general partner, Thirty-Eight Street, Inc., and for Vantage's hotel acquisition and development project.
Prior to joining Vantage Hospitality, Moyle practiced commercial law for 18 years and was managing partner at Benson, Moyle, Mucci LLP in Fort Lauderdale. He holds a bachelor's degree from Salisbury University in Maryland and a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern in Florida. He has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumni of the Year for NSU and is a former treasurer and president of the NSU Law Center Alumni Association and member of the Law Center Board of Governors. Moyle is also an active participant in industry lobbying efforts.
Group President of International Development
As Group President of International Development, Bill Hanley brings a wealth of hospitality industry experience to grow Vantage Hospitality Group's brands in strategic international markets.
In 2012, Hanley was instrumental in forming a master license agreement between Vantage Hospitality Group, Inc., through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Van Asia (Korea), Inc., and Service Legends, Inc., to introduce the Lexington by Vantage brand to South Korea (where it is known as Value Inn Worldwide and Value Hotel Worldwide).
In 2015, Hanley helped Vantage continue its select expansion by entering into an exclusive master license agreement iwth Miraya Hotel Management to introduce the Value Inn Worldwide and Value Hotel Worldwide brands to India. In addition to overseeing the master licenses for South Korea and India, Hanley manages the Vantage master license for China and Indonesia and oversees the development team for Canadas Best Value Inn.
Before coming to Vantage, Hanley served as the Managing Director and COO of the International Hotel Division and Senior Vice President of Cendant Corporation. During this time, he developed and managed franchised brands in over 20 countries, including India, China, Italy, Morocco, Malta, the United Kingdom, and other parts of Europe, and directed Cendant's international operations on four continents.
Hanley has also served in executive positions for several hotel groups, including Radisson Hotels International, Trust House Forte/Forte Hotels and ITT Sheraton. As Executive Vice President for the American Hotel & Lodging Association, he was directly responsible for the organizations operations.
Group President, Vantage Value Brands
Patrick Mullinix joined Vantage Hospitality in 2002 and is now Group President of Vantage's Value Brands. Mullinix oversees the domestic development team for the Americas Best Value Inn, Signature Inn and Country Hearth Inns & Suites brands.
Mullinix has contributed to Americas Best Value Inn becoming the 10th largest hotel brand worldwide*. He was also instrumental in increasing the total number of Americas Best Value Inns in his home state of Texas to over 130 properties, making it the fastest-growing hotel chain in that state.
Mullinix introduced the first new construction prototype for the Americas Best Value Inn brand in 2006 and is working on a second generation model. He also launched weekly sales webcasts that invite potential Vantage members to a one-hour, interactive webcast with Vantage's senior partners to learn more about the company's innovative business model. This sales webcast is a tremendous resource for potential members.
From 1995-2002, Mullinix was the Regional Franchise Development Director for Super 8 Motels and AmeriHost Inns & Suites.
Group President, Upscale Brands
Following Vantage's agreement to acquire America's Best Franchising brands in 2014, Vantage tapped industry venteran Mark Williams to serve as the Group President of Vantage's Upscale Brands, including Lexington by Vantage and Jameson Inn.
Willliams spent 20 years at Best Western International, for 13 of which he served as the Vice President of North American Development, where he oversaw brand development in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean Islands. During his tenure with Best Western, he served as the development ambassador fo that brand, helping to bring over a thousand North American hotels into the Best Western family, with a special emphasis on new construction and hotels located in primary markets.
Williams earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and marketing from The Ohio State University Fisher School of Business.
Peter Frantz serves as marketing director for all the company's brands and is director of the company's member-appointed Advisory Board and Advertising Council. His own agency, JCF Marketing, was formed in 1995 and serves as the affilated ad agency for Vantage Hospitality.
JCF Marketing has won numerous prestigious honors for Vantage's television, radio and print ads as well as creative Vantage-wide promtions, including awards from Travel Weekly Magellan, HSMAI Adrian, MarCom, Davey, Summit, Craetive and Hermes.
Frantz has worked with Impact Communications in New York City and the Griswold Agency, a division of the Ross Roy Group. He has supervised marketing campaigns for regional Coca-Cola, Stop-n-Shop Supermarkets (now part of Giant Eagle), the Knights Inn hotel brand, and other hotel management companies throughout the country.
Frantz is a member of the American Advertising Federation of Cleveland, Cleveland Council of Smaller Enterprises and HSMAI; is a past judge for HSMAI's Adrian Awards; was named the 2011 "Innovator of the Year" for marketing by Lodging magazine; and was recognized in 2014 by HSMAI as one of the "Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing."
Frantz earned his Bachelors degree in Marketing from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Cleveland State University.
Vice President of Legal Affairs
Judi Jarvis heads the legal team for Vantage and its affiliates, overseeing all in-house and outside legal operations, including domestic and international franchising; trademark protection; real estate investments; and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Vantage in 2008, Jarvis represented public and private companies across the hospitality spectrum (from casinos and cruise ships to restaurants and nightclubs), as well as in other domestic and international industries, with an emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.
Jarvis served as a law clerk to the Chief Judge of the United States Claims Court, in Washington, D.C., prior to returning to South Florida, where she was an associate at Broad and Cassel and Stroock and Stroock and Lavan, prior to starting her own transactional-focused practice.
Jarvis received her law degree from the University of Miami (where she was the editor-in-chief of the International Law Review and a Member of the Order of the Coif) and earned her undergraduate degree from New York University. She is a published author and frequent speaker, and a member of the adjunct law faculty of Nova Southeastern University, where she has taught Securities Law, Gambling Law, and Legal Research and Writing.
Andrew Kraemer, CHIA, CRME
Vice President, IT & Electronic Distribution
Andrew Kraemer is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Vantage IT team, e-commerce, and the electronic distribution group.
Prior to Vantage, Kraemer co-founded a business intelligence company that specialized in helping hotel owners make informed business decisions based on their market's data. Previously, he spent 12 years iwth Wyndham Hotel Group, splitting time between the IT department and Wingate brand operations.
Kraemer holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and has earned certifications from both AH&LA anad HSMAI.
Jordan Langlois, CHA
Vice President, Brand Management
Jordan Langlois has been instrumental in the incredible growth of Americas Best Value Inn. Breaking into the business at an Americas Best Value Inn in Las Vegas while still in college, Langlois soon joined the corporate office, quickly working his way up to Senior Brand Manager.
In his current role as Vice President of Brand Management, Langlois oversees all brand Managers, ensures Vantage Hotel brands are relevant, trendsetting and provide meaningful value to the Members.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Marshall University, Langlois has been featured as a "Leader of Tomorrow" which recognizes leaders, age 35 and under, who are poised to make an impact in the hospitality industry. He is also a past recipient of Lodging magazine's "innovator of the Year" award.
Maxine Lockhart, CMP, CMM
Vice President of Travel Industry Sales, Marketing & Business Development
Maxine Lockhart is responsible for leading Vantage's Travel Industry Sales team and generating sales opportunities Vantage's members expect. She has 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, creating innovative sales strategies to drive rapid profit potential and revenue growth opportunities.
Lockhart graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Florida International University and earned certifications from Meeting Professional International as a Certified Meeting Professional and Certified Meeting Management Professional. Lockhart is a membe rof the Meeting Professionals International, Society of Incentive Travel Executives, American Society of Association Executives, Financial Insurance Conference Planners and the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. She has served on numerous industry committees, including Meeting Professionals International and the Incentive Research Foundation.
Vice President of Revenue Management
Jesse Ostrum has more than 20 years of revenue management experience in hospitality and tourism. Ostrum was instrumental in developing and implementing the Vantage Competitive Intelligence program, which provides market and competitor information, as well as property-specific recommendations, so that Vantage's members can maximize their revenue.
Prior to Vantage, Ostrum led revenue management teams at SuperClubs Resorts International, Renaissance Cruises and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He holds a Bachelor's degree in business and an MBA in finance from the University of Florida.
Vice President of Distribution
Vicki Schell oversees Vantage's distribution efforts for Vantage Hotels. Her responsibilities include ensuring that Vantage is well positioned electronic channels (Brand.com, Voice, GDS and OTAs), as well as managing the day-to-day relationship with CRS provider Sabre Hospitality Solutions and the Vantage Electronic Distribution team.
Prior to joining Vantage in 2009, Schell held various roles with the travel industry in sales, marketing and distribution for La Quinta, Pegasus Solutions, TravelCLICK, and Adam's Mark Hotels.
